NINJA THEATRE BALLET MONKS

Went to see my mate dance and stuff in swan lake at saddlers wells. First time

at the ballet for me! it was SUPER impressive. whilst getting beer during the

interval i saw this advertised and it looks siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

Defiantly going to get tickets for this one.

Antony Gormley was an artist I looked at alot when starting a-levels. obsessively his work always takes the human (often his own) mould through sculpture. he's the dude what did that angel of the north.

In thist performance he has teamed up with shaolin monks to perform in unison on a stage with wooden boxes created by Gormley. These boxes make for, "a striking, ever changing on-stage environment."

In short : dance + art boxes + buddhists = COOL AS FUCK

Performed by 17 monks from the original Shaolin Temple in China, with dancer Ali Thabet in the role originally performed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sutra is a fascinating exploration of the philosophy and faith behind the Shaolin tradition, its relationship with Kung-Fu, and its position within a contemporary context.

The Dogway Melody is a cracking film from 1930 spoofing lots of different musicals from the period. Oh yes, and the cast is entirely made up of pooches. Admittedly it gets a bit boring if you watch the whole thing but I could watch this clip all day...

ALIENS PYRAMIDS AND GODS

Just finished reading this book. Published in 1969, it is a book which puts across a number of theories relating to the origins of religion, human development and space travel amongst other things.

Obviously some of it is a bit far fetched but what i found most interesting was the way some people expected space travel to develop through the 70s and 80s. It also has some ties to scientology, and funnily enough the author prior to writing it had done some time in jail for fraud.

Bit of a good read. I kind of wanted it all to be true!
