The Dogway Melody is a cracking film from 1930 spoofing lots of different musicals from the period. Oh yes, and the cast is entirely made up of pooches. Admittedly it gets a bit boring if you watch the whole thing but I could watch this clip all day...

ALIENS PYRAMIDS AND GODS
ERICH VON DANIKEN

Just finished reading this book. Published in 1969, it is a book which puts across a number of theories relating to the origins of religion, human development and space travel amongst other things.
Obviously some of it is a bit far fetched but what i found most interesting was the way some people expected space travel to develop through the 70s and 80s. It also has some ties to scientology, and funnily enough the author prior to writing it had done some time in jail for fraud.
Bit of a good read. I kind of wanted it all to be true!

IM TOO OLD FOR THIS
And apparently it's not THAT great. I still want to see it though.
My friend Tom wrote some music for it (HE'S REALLY GOOD), if no ones going to watch it they should at least listen to him!

LINKLATER

Awesome director, awesome film. I'm a massive fan of Dazed and Confused and Scanner darkly, this is one of his older films. Based and filmed in the early nineties, in Austin, Texas. A seemingly plotless film, it follows a day in the life of a band of twenty something misfits. Slipping from one lengthy conversation to another. A feature length social commentary.
Filmed on only $23,000. it has since gone on to become a cult classic, it was even sopposed to have been the inspiration for the 1994 comedy CLERKS.
"Sorry, I'm late."
"Thats okay, time doesn't exist."
